Alchemy came into the world with the birth of life. Alchemy is an art, bringing light into the shadows, consciousness where there is ignorance. Before the arrival of all art forms that we know today, Alchemy was considered ‘the Art’ or ‘Ars Regia’, as it is connected to the sacred, the Divine, which is present in every form of life.
Alchemy is the study of humanity, of all that is human knowledge, the Creation, with which human beings engage. Alchemy is observation of the Laws of Nature, investigation and understanding of all that is small and all that is big, of creatures in the presence of Creation and of the Creator himself. Alchemy is the study of micro and macro: “As in heaven, so on earth”, said our ancestors.
Alchemy is the strands that make the weave of Creation, of atomic structure forming matter, and the spiritual laws that animate life itself, for it is that same essence that supports all matter – the foundation of the entire Cosmos. That very essence is manifested in all things, there being no substantial difference between them.
Alchemy studies the individual and its relationship with the world around it. Going within oneself, the entire universe is then revealed. Alchemy sustains unified thought, for the Artist who creates life is no different or detached from his Creation, even less so from his creatures! Alchemy is man’s eternal quest!
All this, and much more is Alchemy.
